Current Status Of the School
In its first Four years of pilot phase, the School has not only got institutional set up created, but has also achieved some important milestones, as have been listed below:

Conducted 292 programs, reaching to 10,371 participants engaged in promoting/supporting livelihoods.

Built the capacities of 2,669 practitioners, in 114 regular and customized education programs of the School.

Conducted 178 Livelihood Orientation Programmes, covering 7702 participants including BDOs/CEOs and PRIs members in Chattisgarh for State Institute of Rural Development .

Conducted 75 case studies, on various issues and livelihood promotion initiatives across the country .

Conducted 10 workshops, with Livelihood Learning Groups on important livelihood promotion issues, with the involvement of over 350 livelihood practitioners across the country.

Developed curriculum for five modules – ‘Fundamentals of Livelihood Promotion’-1 and 2, ‘Watershed for Livelihood Promotion’, ‘Micro-financing Livelihoods and Well-being’ and ‘Livestock based livelihoods.

The School has completed the study of ‘Savings Behavior of the Poor Households’ including ‘financial diaries’ methodology and 6 cases of savings innovations with support from Ford Foundation.

A workshop on “Financial Inclusion: Strengthening Savings Services” has been organized in collaboration with Micro Save, NABARD, and ING-Vysya Bank.

Built a strong group of over 120 members of Extended Faculty Group, who are the backbone of the School, and enhanced their capacities through faculty development programs.

Knowledge building on livelihood initiatives of various livelihood promoters including 33 action research projects of BASIX, providing conceptual and documentation support.

E-learning material on fundamentals of livelihood promotion and other livelihood education material in English, Hindi and Telugu.

The School has a website which is being updated with the knowledge material developed by the School, training calendars and programs of the School from time to time.
