Programme in Livelihood Promotion(PLP)
The Program in Livelihood Promotion (PLP) is the flagship knowledge dissemination program of the Livelihoods School. The objective of this education program is to build perspective and skill relevant for effective livelihood promotion. The PLP builds on application of management sciences, social sciences, and relevant technology, to evolve broad principles and processes of livelihood promotion.
A three level modular programme adding up to a one-year Programme in Livelihood Promotion(PLP) and consisting of :
Fundamental of Livelihood Promotion(FLP):Basic understanding of livelihoods and the livelihood promotion process that any practitioner must have in order to be effective and efficient, applicable across different socio-economic and geographical conditions.
Engines of Livelihood Promotion (ELP):Specific inputs are given in some of the major livelihood promotion strategies.There would be several strategic themes on offer.
Functional Areas for Livelihood Promotion(FALP):To provide inputs on some key disciplines which have an important bearing on the livelihood promotion process and impact
